    The Lesson by Maya Angelou

    The Lesson

    Everyday I wake to find,
    A shining, brand new day,
A smile falls upon my face,
And I start to make my way.

Kids are crying, phone is ringing,
It's all one great big mess,
But there's nowhere else I'd rather be,
    This I must confess.

    Chaos comes and chaos goes,
    But love is always there,
    Beneath the surface, deep inside,
    Nothing can compare.

    Everyday which passes by,
    We are surely dying,
So we must live inside each moment,
    And find what's underlying.

The beauty in a single tear,
    The sunshine in a smile,
All the things we take for granted,
    Lost inside the vile.

    Every mark and every wrinkle,
    Earned and filled with knowing,
Look ahead and don't turn back,
The sands of time are flowing.

    Love Me a Little Less

    By: *ME*

I ask you where the passion went
That we had when at the start.
The 'I can't live without you' feeling
Did it vanish from your heart?

When you told me that you loved me
Did you mean what you had said?
Was it a short lived emotion
You wish you kept inside your head?

That's when you leaned over to me
    With that expressionless stare
And asked me where that came from
Why I felt you didn't care?

    You said that you provided
    Everything we had and owned
    And should understand you're tired
After work, when you're at home.

And did I really neglect you
Or the things you so desire?
I replied with an exasperated "No.
But we lost all the spark and fire."

When you asked how I could think
That all the passion we had regressed,
I said inside my head and heart,
"Because you love me a little less."

Xx Sweet Lips Of An Angel - Ottave Rima xX

Those lips of an angel get me every time
So luscious and soft and so heavenly
They start to move closer until they brush mine
Kissing me softly and so sensually
I start getting tingles up and down my spine
As you lay me down on the pillows gently
You smile and tell me you love me so much
Still driving me crazy with your teasing touch

Those lips of an angel are smiling so sweet
Lulling me into a state of sheer bliss
Whispering sweet words, my heart skips a beat
Feels like I'm falling in a love filled abyss
If this was a tape I'd keep it on repeat
I just want to stay locked in your angel kiss
This whole entire night just feels so surreal
These feelings I have, I just can't conceal

Those lips of an angel now start to explore
I bask in the pleasure your teasing provides
As our clothes fall into a heap on the floor
I love the feeling as our skin collides
Feeling a sensation I've not felt before
It's all because of this love you've supplied
I reach out and trace the smile on your face
I feel so lucky wrapped in your embrace

Those lips of an angel now kiss me with care
And then we begin and it just feels so right
You've shown me that there's no need to be scared
I look deep in your eyes and hold you so tight
Then my body feels like it's floating on air
And I've reached a place where my heart takes flight
We lay close together, bodies intertwined
Those lips of angel get me every time

    Title Taken From Britt

    http://www.poems-and-quotes.com/sad/poems.php?id=891553

It's Just Another Tragic Love Tale.

Once so euphoric, needing to be in each other's arms
Now everything's changed, there's no longer any charm
Spiteful words spoken, so many tears starting to fall
No more smiles and laughs, for they've slowly lost it all

He's cheating on her every single day, yet she has no idea
When she finally finds out, it's her wrath that he will fear
For all she'll think of, is constantly making him pay
She'll lose all dignity and respect, her morals will start to sway

...Flash Forward To One Week Later...

Covering his face with his hands, as she aims slap after slap
He's trying his hardest, not to retaliate and start fighting back
She's screaming in anger, with tears in her bloodshot eyes
One person she used to love, she's now starting to despise

She's getting a little harder, with each blow that lands
His vision is dimming, he's finding it so hard to stand
There's blood dripping down, yet she still doesn't stop
It's her vicious blows, that he's now finding hard to block

And sometime later, he slides to the cold hard floor
He's giving up now, his body couldn't take anymore
She's staring at him in horror, wondering what she's done
Unable to comprehend, what a monster she's now become

His bloody face glaring up at her, features twisted in pain
His lifeless eyes staring blankly, making her feel so insane
As horror starts to envelop, she searches for an escape
Knowing she has to get away, there's no more she can take

    ...Flash Forward One Hour...

Her cold lifeless body, swinging from a rusty old rope
She placed it around her neck, slowly beginning to choke
Now he's lying on the floor, covered in the blood he shed
She's swaying to each side, just two more teenagers dead.

Here is my entry; A Lover's Complaint: Based on Shakespeare's A Lover's Complaint

Crestfallen she was, 'fore her lovers deed
Entrapped in woe, an everlasting creed
But lo' behold a true love she would find
As oft' as she dreamt an implicate kind

    Enticing oblivion upon charming piety
Lusted with greed, 'gainst harmful decree
O' father of just, such perilous lies
From a lover without, two virtuous eyes

Thus merely her heart, stained from mistrust
Never did she feel, a true lover's dream
Tortured by bust, an unforgiven appeal
    Ay thee misfortune, foretelling unreal

O' maiden so fair, why do thee complain
For love doth hilarity, as just domain
'Tis unruly to woe o'er a lover's greed
For a lover's complaint, is a lover in need

    A Mid-Summer's Eve (Sonnet IV)
    Based from Shakespeare's poem "A Mid-Summer's Eve"

Twas A Mid-Summer's Eve when you stole my heart,
Tis young love and it left me broken in two,
I' ve tried so hard but our love will still depart,
and no matter what I will always love you.

Six months of pain and I still feel the same way,
I think of you and my heart cries crimson tears,
You dont know your what I think about all day,
The way you look at me confirmes my worst fears.

I can see your blue eyes in the pouring rain,
I left my broken heart bleeding in your hand,
Maybe one day I wont have to feel this pain,
I' ve tried so hard to stop, lord knows that I can.

But it seems that my heart was the one decieved,
    As I reminisce to A Mid-Summer's Eve.

    The Road Not Taken
    Inspired by: Robert Frost

The road not taken is layed out before us,
Waiting to feel our steady feet run on,
    Paved by our proud parents, smiling bright;
And the educators who molded our minds.
From our ABC`s to our 123`s, we were taught,
The differences between right and wrong,
And those of us who had it in is to hold on,
Can now proudly hold this memory with them.
There is more down this road for us to encounter,
And you can count on it being ready for us,
It will beat at us, break us down; but we`ll carry on.

The road not taken is paved in shimmering gold,
And all the smiling faces tonight assure us,
That the rest is there, waiting -- but we can do it.
Take life by the hands and hold on tight,
Because it will spin out of control from time to time,
But it will always slow down, let us walk on.
The path from here is divided, we have to part,
And it is time to say good-bye, to live our lives.
So together, lets close the chapter on our past,
And write our futures that remain unwritten.
So live life to the fullest, without any regrets,
Make these pages of our lives worth reading,
Because the road not taken still awaits,
And it is ready to put some shine on its` rust.

    Maya angelou definitly
    Still I Rise
You may write me down in history
    With your bitter, twisted lies,
You may trod me in the very dirt
But still, like dust, I'll rise.

    Does my sassiness upset you?
Why are you beset with gloom?
'Cause I walk like I've got oil wells
    Pumping in my living room.

Just like moons and like suns,
    With the certainty of tides,
    Just like hopes springing high,
    Still I'll rise.

Did you want to see me broken?
    Bowed head and lowered eyes?
    Shoulders falling down like teardrops.
    Weakened by my soulful cries.

    Does my haughtiness offend you?
Don't you take it awful hard
'Cause I laugh like I've got gold mines
Diggin' in my own back yard.

You may shoot me with your words,
You may cut me with your eyes,
You may kill me with your hatefulness,
But still, like air, I'll rise.

    Does my sexiness upset you?
Does it come as a surprise
That I dance like I've got diamonds
At the meeting of my thighs?

Out of the huts of history's shame
    I rise
Up from a past that's rooted in pain
    I rise
I'm a black ocean, leaping and wide,
Welling and swelling I bear in the tide.
Leaving behind nights of terror and fear
    I rise
Into a daybreak that's wondrously clear
    I rise
Bringing the gifts that my ancestors gave,
I am the dream and the hope of the slave.
    I rise
    I rise
    I rise.

    Maya
