Things we never thought we'd accomplish... but did.

That other thread was a bit too fatalistic for me... so here's an alternative. Tell about some things that you never thought you'd be able to change for the better, but somehow you did. Go on, boast. Here's a couple to start things off

    1. I never thought I'd be assertive enough to hang out with people that I didn't really know, but this year I find myself coming out of my box, more and more.

    2. I never thought I would end the long, miserable relationship I was in, but it's finally faded to the point that I think I can.

    3. I never thought I'd be able to clean a hotel room in under 30 minutes, but I did - after a couple months of trying ; ).

    4. Um... I thought I'd never finish my religion paper, but I definitely did.

1- I thought I'd never be able to get over my depression but now I couldn't be happier with my life.

2- I didn't think I could trust people ever again, but now I have the closest friends in the world and I trust them completely.

3- I thought I'd never be able to draw nearly as good as my sister, but after a lot of practice I could.

Hm...I can't think of anything, haha. Not because of my modesty, mind you...because of the opposite, actually.

Oh dddddaviddddd, your charm prevails. : ) No, my family doesn't own a hotel, but I worked in one all last summer, cleaning rooms. I actually enjoyed it quite a bit - it's a sort of meditative work.

Yes, the picture is me, same as last one. It was just taken with my camera sometime a year or so ago. I lightened it up a bit.

I can't imagine you cleaning hotel rooms, Sib. If anything, you should be picking lillies or being an artist's muse. But the nobility and humility of cleaning rooms only adds to your undeniable loveliness.

I would gladly do either of those two things, abby. : )

But I'll go on pretending that I'm Cinderella. Pshya. Don't barf on my carpet.

See though, dddddaviddddd, that picture doesn't show many of my flaws. I ensure you, they do exist. Maybe that works better, though. My inside's by no means great all the time.

    'Twould be easy enough.

Ok, we're off topic! Add to the list, dddddaviddddd!

I never thought I'd get sweet Sibyllene to create a thread about vaginas...but I did.

My life is short, my goals simple and few.

They're a natural part of life, abby. Just like sloths. Or something?

    Yeah, you're the master.

I never thought I'd be able to tame my cows lick....but...I did it.

I never thought I'd meet a girl who I never have to explain everything to, lucky me.

I never thought I'd be able to think of 3 things I never thought about, cause I think of everything.

    Wait...did I?...did I just insult myself....never thought I'd do that...

    Ha har...success!

I never thought I would still be traveling after 6 and a half years of leaving my nest in Australia.

I never thought I'd find the PERFECT man for me and marry my best friend that doesn't want to change anything about me at all (thats pretty big cause I can be as annoying as hell)

I never thought I'd get to fulfil most of my "Things to do before I die" list before I was 25 (I've had to add more)

I never thought I'd become best friends with my mother

I don't really think I CAN'T do anything. Sorry...I mean, I never not thought I'd not never not accomplish a thing not.
