Isn't that ironic?

I want you to write me a poem about poetry. I don't care if it's about how much you love it, hate it, need it, or whatever, it just has to be about poetry. I don't care if you rhyme, or if it's new.
Due date is around the 20th, or 10 entries, whichever comes first. 1 poem per poet please.
No need to reserve unless you feel you must.
    Enjoy.

    Heart of a Poet

In my chest beats the heart of a poet,
    Soliloquies flowing,
    My mind glistening on paper,
    Search for some knowing,
    My blood runs in colours,
    Deepening streams of emotion,
    A quest within thyself,
    A most fulfilling devotion.

    Such courage to touch,
    Dark corners of mind,
    Attain something beautiful,
    From something unkind,
    Look at one moment,
    Immortalize with word,
    The thought and the feeling,
    That oft goes unheard.

Through the tears and the rain,
    Sunshine and laughter,
    Those moments in life,
That are lost and sought after,
    I shall face every second,
    And strive to discover,
    The beauty in life,
    That is hard to uncover.

    Doorway to freedom

    Poems let out my soul.
When I write, this is its freedom.
    But instead of going off
    Into some unknown world,
It chooses to stay in my hand
    And extend into my fingers.
    When I stop writing,
    My soul's troubles vanish,
And it goes back into me,
    Waiting to be free again.
That is my doorway to freedom.

    Opened Gates

    A poem,
    The passage way
    To one's heart.

    Every emotion
    Strokes the paper,
    Painted with care.

    Each word,
    Each line,
    Done with heart.

    Every mark
    Left by the pen
    Has purpose.

    No matter
    The situation,
    Emotion shows.

    To write,
    Is my escape,
    My love.

    Paradise's gates,
    Have open to me,
    Embracing my warmly.

    -It's in the poet-

    The emotions that overflow,
    spill onto my paper,
that was once boring and bold.

It's mine, But yours to relate.
    Sometimes it takes more time,
    and a little ryme.

It lets your heart be touched,
    and makes your face glow.
When a lover writes poetic words,
You feel a rush and let it all go.

A feeling so pure, lets everybody know,
You wrote this poem to make a difference
in the world that seems as though it has
    no hope.

So you keep on writting till you feel
that you have changed a strangers life,
    made somebody love,
and gave a hopeless person a reason to
    keep up the fight.

    I write

    Emotions bursting to speak out,
In the bulb above my head is light.
When i feel strongly about something,
    I write....

    Anger rushes through my veins,
Through my nerves my blood flows.
When i feel angry about something,
    I write poems....

    Unbelievable happiness inside of me,
    Heart opens with joy.
    When i feel i couldn't be happier,
I write poems for my boy.

Feeling like i want to help-
    People with unlucky strikes,
When i feel angry at government etc
    I write poems about life...

    When I'm feeling festive,
When i have things to say,
When its the time of the year,
    I write about Christmas day.

When i have emotions bursting to speak out,
In the bulb above my head is light.
When i feel strongly about something,
    I write........

A Poet's Pen Is False Release

    by Debbylyn

A poet's pen with dexterous hand
    Ink to paper often can
Woo a heart, bring on a tear
Soothe a soul or beckon fear
    A harbinger of ecstasy
    Written word but fantasy

    A poet's pen cannot replace
Feelings held when face to face
Two hearts beating skin to skin
As passions fan the fire within
Eyes and lips light gaze to blaze
These can't be captured on a page

A poet's pen is false release
The ink and paper outlet brief
Though poem penned will time withstand
It traces not a lover's hand
    As writer's splendid bounty falls
    Know loneliness eclipses all

    I Write Because...

I write to get my feelings out
And to wipe away the fear
I write to help me deal
And it sometimes stops the tears.

    I write because I express
    emotion better this way
I write because it reminds me
    Eventually I'll be okay.

    I write because it's a passion
    But people don't understand
That I feel a whole lot better
With paper and a pen in hand.

I write to make sense of jumbled thoughts
To help me see the way to go
I write because what to do
    Eventually I always know.

    I write because the words
    Flow so easily from me
    I write because the words
    Always set me free.

    People don't understand
Think some of my writing is strange
Want me to give up writing
But I never will and that wont change.

    I write about murder
    About suicide and self harm
    Don't they understand
    That writing keeps me calm?

    I write about sadness
    Grief and rape
Don't they understand if I stop writing
Then I would consider myself a fake?

    They think because I write
    About mostly unspoken things
That I am weird and strange
But when I write my heart will actually sing.

Am I weird because I can write about murder?
    Or about death and rape?
    Go and read my work
    Before a judgment's made.

    Poety

i write the lines, the rythm flows,
'cause that is how the poem goes.

say the words inside my mind,
    letting random thoughts unwind.

should it be sad or full of glee?
the subject matters not to me.

the tears may form and fall and cry,
the ink will slide and drift and dry.

the pencil glides for just a while,
watch the poet start to smile.

    new creations, found lost grins,
this is how the tale begins.

shall it have a beat and rhyme,
or shall i write in prose this time?

    acrostic, maybe, what to say?
the letters spell out: "Hearts at Play."

for every poem, there's a thought,
    maybe perfect, maybe not.

    [just write it.]

This is about how to write a poem . . . I hope it's okay. If not, please tell me and I'll replace it.
    -----------------------------------------------------

A Poem About How To Write A Poem

First you start out with a controversial topic (even if they're bad, you'll get more comments!),
Then you pick a really catchy phrase like: "Dear Diary, today I just want to vomit."
Surely it will "drag" them in and make them cling to your every words; you're hoping it would,
And then use really big words that confuse people; they'll give you a higher rating to act like they understood.

Now, you'll probably be called a bit "emo" for having a "diary", but "Fcuk you!" you'll say!
(Then you'll pick up your "journal {or that's what [you] call it} and write about your "terrible" day;)
These people can't judge you because you write about them, right?
(You've got a lot more coming to you if you think that; you're pants might be a little [too] tight.)

But after you've got your catchy phrase and controversial topic with a hint of cliche,
You'll need to dash in a bit of sarcasm to keep them hooked (kind of like the drugs you were on today).
    But as you do all this, you need to remember to stay on topic while you tell them about it all;
And maybe you'll even make a few new friends that cut deeper than you; maybe now you won't fall.

With your new friends -- the pen, the paper -- you'll cry to it, you've found,
But then as you pour your heart out and post it; the people will proceed to tear you down.
It's hard being a poet; you'll just have to be will to take that bound,
No matter how much you're teased, you're poetry willing always be around.

Remember to start out with a good message and leave a crisp moral behind:
"There's more to life that sorrow and there is no button for rewind."
But you always have to start like you finished; with a really catchy phrase:

"Don't let anyone tell you how to write; write your own way."

Please excuse her, and all of us. We mean no harm. And if this is considered a "bump", please excuse this too. I'm kinda new and aren't used to all of the rules yet... So if this is a bump, then tell me and I'll delete it.
