Yeah, I've noticed that. It's sad really. He doesn't really help himself, he's always bringing himself down. I try to bring him back up, and he's happy, the next day it begins again. I dont know how long I can do this. Am I going about everything the wrong way? What should I do?

Bob with what you were saying about some people actually liking to be in that depressed state I was just wondering if you knew why people like to stay that way? because the thing is Im kind of like that its like I would rather be depressed than happy its almost like its my comfort zone as screwed up as that sounds and trust me I know it sounds completely screwed up but I dont know why I'd rather be like that, I know a part of me thinks that in a way its easier, anyway enough with the rambling lol I duno if you have any insight as to why people want to stay like that but if you do it'd be really helpful thanks

bipolar... I almost hit a bipolar girl last summer. I had to live with her for a week and she was bipolar and ADHD So she really got on my nerves and she told me to shut up becuase i asked her... i think it was if something was hers. and I just kinda gave her this "EXCUSE ME?!?!" look and then she told me that staring is rude, and ohhhhh i was gonna... but i calmed down. she was nuts. No offense to anyone who may be bipolar or adhd... I just had to get htat off my chest and I feel better now.

{I deleted my original comment} it was a story which i realize i want to remain in the past.
Bipolar is something to not be treated as a disease. I mean people who have it dont want to be treated differently i mean the ones i know who have it anyways. They are regular people who laugh cry feel pain i dont think they should be seen as as different

When I was writing the poems that are in my book The Balance of the Heart Soul and Mind. Chemical Balance through Spirituality I was observing the behavour of a male and female bipolar. The focus of this discussion was on the depressed pole some of the people around bipolars find the manic pole more difficult to deal with. Well at least my sister did. She was married to a manic depressive for over forty years. You might find the first chapter of my book interesting you can read it on my site www.poetrymd.com

The poem Hawkeye was a poem I wrote while she was divorcing my ex brother in law who had this disorder. He cried when I read it to him.. Iwrote several poems at his request. A female who told me she was told she had a bipolar disorder was the subject of many poems that I posted on this site.
I am still learning about this disorder. I don't think I have ever been so perplexed. God bless you for caring.
