Need Some Advice

My best friend ran away last Wednesday, and he's been calling me everyday so I know he's alright, and his mom found out me and him were talking and she wants me to basically set him so he gets caught and be returned home. But my friend is for once in his life happy, he's 17, and he hates it at his house, but now everyone wants me to turn him in, but I don't want to take away his happiness, I heard that kid laugh. Which is very very rare with him. I don't know if I should turn him in so he can finish school, and hopefully his family can get past this, or let him keep running and being happy. Any ideas?

Turn him in, if it was my son and you were his "friend", I'd expect you to tell me where he was knowing how worried I would be.

No matter how unhappy he is at home, he is their child and I'm sure they love him and are worried sick about him. Maybe this will bring them a bit closer together and they can work out their problems...

It's a no brainer, you need to realise that you not only should but you have an obligation to turn him in.
If he was to get into trouble of any kind while he was on his own, responsibilty would lie on both of your shoulders.

It really is that simple.

If hes living in like a house or somewhere safe then let him stay but if hes like living on the streets or something then turn him in because you wouldnt want anything to happen to him
