My father died about 5 years ago and a year after that my mother was diagnosed with a mental condition (or disease of you like). I have all these memories of my mother hitting me and holding me up against a wall and trying to choke me or the time where she made me pack my bags when i was 10 and kick me out, i know she has a condition that she only recently has been taking pills for, but i cant seem to forgive her. no matter how much i want i just cant seem to

    any advice?

She is just beginning to help herself, while she may have been diagnosed with a condition, it does not erase your memory or replace your trust. All I can say is it will take time, hopefully being medicated has a positive effect on your relationship and you can come to a place of forgiveness. Best wishes.

My mother is some what like that. She has a borderline personality. And she used to always hit me as well, and I still can't forgive her, I cant give you advice for this but I can tell you that you arent the only one you're not alone. That might help you to know that there are others there with the same situation take care.

My mother has done almost every thinkable thing to me and I'll never be able to find it in my heart to forgive her, so I get where you're coming from. I think you should just move on, that is your past and sure it wasn't perfect but your future can be as close to perfect as your willing to make it. Try as hard as you can and do your best your mom doesn't have to be in your life for it to be a good life. If you ever wanna talk private message me. Best of luck - lina
