However, if you have an old poem based on one of these, you may enter that one if you wish . You can either write a poem based on the movie, or you can write one just based on the title given . Sleeping Beauty

Before you fall into me,
Like some dream I lost along the way,
I have always wished to close my eyes and find,
A vision they could never forget.

The brush of lips that are foreign, yet known,
The comfort of an unknown love,
A passion fired by the seeds of unconsciousness,
An impalpable truth found within slumber.

You come to me through the fog,
Evoking fierce emotion with your ghostly essence,
I am enveloped in the warmth of your spirit,
I find myself in a new state of wakefulness.

Inundated by your love and compassion,
Should I never wake from this place,
I would never know fear,
Untouchable within the asylum of this dream.

Yes Gem it is one per poem . If you would like to change one of the titles there to a different one and do that you may choose to do so . These are just the ones I thought would be interesting to see people do .

And Alissa, since this is a three part contest, only the participants from round one that have made it to this round may participate in this contest, sorry .

The jungle book.

Matches light the fire
that burns within the night.
Creating such beauty,
igniting why we fight.

The flames they tell a story,
called the jungle book.
Telling about a horrid life -
let's go have a look.

No one can change the past,
nor create a better future.
It's as if we're stuck here,
without a single cure.

Cancer's breaking in,
diseases among diseases.
With flames about this earth -
as this all increases.

Nothing can stop them now,
the things that control us all.
For some odd reason we're brainwashed,
and they're watching us all fall.

It's like a picture perfect time,
with a fear that always kills.
But, instead of burning flames -
it's your daughter and overdose pills.

Cinderella

Never felt quite right,
Life seemed so unjust,
Everything once loved,
Slowly turned to dust.

Tears which drown the night,
Sweep away the doubt,
A heart so full of hope,
Finding some way out.

Dreamers live in sleep,
Wishers greet the stars,
Self pity gets you no where,
Faith found in the scars.

Survival of the fittest,
The meek shall take command,
Forgotten far too long,
Taught how to withstand.

Though fairies are not seen,
The magic can still thrive,
The road at times is rough,
Hope helps us to survive.

Sorry it took me sooo long

The Lion King

Your jungle is the city streets
And your pray are those lonesome girls;
Begging for you to take their pain away
Hoping you'll be the one that won't hurt them.

Your game is to sneak up slow
Take your time, and make sure they see you;
And when you have them in your arms
Your game, is not a game at all.

Slowly you tear them apart
Make sure they feel every last second;
You play with their heart, but never get lost
For your are the lion king.

Your eyes tell them that you theirs
And they don't see the hundreds before;
You've done it more then once or twice
And they never knew of the other girl.

You are the lion king
Prowling through the city streets;
And when you get them in your arms
You will surely tear their heart in three.

If you don't accept it I understand. I'm still not quite sure if PnQ was down for everyone - but I know it was for Sarah and I. (My computer won't let me on somtimes though. :/)

But, here it is just in case. (:

Pocahontas.

Made out as perfection-
Indian with not a flaw.
Falling for a loverboy,
with a funny looking jaw.

Sheltered by a no- one,
fell defeated by a lie.
Tears to crown the king himself;
for his ways weren't all that sly.

Now, open with his future wife,
she prayed her life to keep.
For, Pochahontas fell too hard
on a mountain way too steep.

Shadows reflect her lonely tears,
as she lies awake each night -
No wonder her dad loved him so dearly,
he refused to go down without a fight.

A man of his word; the coward himself,
ruined his life and punished no wrong.
For the life lost tonight was but his own -
and there shan't be sympathy for long.

Alice In Wonderland

I wish in this world things weren't what they seem
And I could wake up as if it a dream
But we're ina grave so deep and so wide
Filled with the dirt we shovel in pride

People stopped looking to God for advice
Now we are paying a deadly price
Men can't solve conflicts, so they go to war
But nobody knows what they're fighting for

Children are starving. Their stomachs are bare.
And everyone knows the money is there.
But it's in a vault locked by stingy greed
And people will continue being in need.

Life's full of mad hatters and queens of hearts
All too selfish to do their own part.
Love's never been so distant and lost
I'm tired of paying the lack of it's cost.

Some day soon God will take care
To destroy the wicked we see here.
Until He solves the issues at hand
You're left to feel like Alice in Wonderland.

I Can't Be Peter Pan

Reality is bittersweet
Being filled with hope and pain
For once I'd like a rainbow
That doesn't require the rain

Self-inflicted or unjust
Problems still weigh me down
It takes less muscles to smile
But there's more reasons to frown

Tomorrow's rays of light
Are beneath today's shadow
The mindset that I'm in
Allows few happy places to go

The Peter Pan left in me
Wants so badly to fly away
Or be as if a child
Let youth be my escape

But struggles can be lessons
If I let myself learn
It could help me in the future
To not burn or be burned

I'm tired of hurting others
Or being the one whose hurt
So it's time to stop my fall
Before landing in the dirt

I'll put this fairytale
Back on the shelf where it belongs
I've been living my life now
As a child for way too long

So I accept responsiblity
And will take steps to do things right
There is nothing worth having
That doesn't require a fight

When is the deadline extended to dearr?
