Hey everyone, who's ever been to aquire the fire? Well, let me just tell you this, it's one of the best experiences you'll ever have! Christian and even some non-christian teenagers from all over the country are experiencing it each week, they tour all over the US, so if you have a chance to go, buy the tickets!! talk either your youth group into going, or even a group of friends with a responsible adult. YOU WON'T REGRET IT!!! It's so amazing. . . the one I went to this year about two days ago was in Billings, Montana, around 2000 people were there. . . Theres famous Christian bands, a skit, amazing videos, and worship... it's SO AMAZING!! This year is about getting your voice heard, getting your opinion out there. . . If anyone is curious about it, you can ask me. . .

I went a few years ago, with some of my friends. I have to say... there were good aspects, but overall I felt... uncomfortable. Every day, they would have a time when the lights turned low and dramatic, in this auditorium filled with thousands of people, and deep music would be playing, with effective visuals... and they were asking people to "get saved," I guess. Now, I have to draw a distinction here... I do think that people should reflect spiritually on themselves. I think God is probably the best thing for people to get drawn to. But done like that... It felt more like compulsion, emotion overwhelming in the situation, more than any true religious experience. I can't say it's like that in every case. Maybe my prim Lutheran upbringings are just shining through. Maybe - since my faith has always been very personal, and since I've gone through several slow spiritual revolutions over the years - I'm letting that paint my opinion. It just made me wary, is all.

I hope people do what they are honestly meant to do- not just being manipulated by the impressive setting.

Sibyllene, I understand your piont of veiw. Different people see it in different ways. And your right, people shouldn't go just because of the impressive setting, but more because they want to draw closer to God. To the song writer, I encourage you to go to battlecry.com, and look at tour dates if your interested in going this year.

Well, talk to your Youth Pastor about it, or any other adult who'd be willing to take you and other students.
