Misery

Was there ever a time when I loved myself?
When the sting of words spit, did not rip my soul?
Was there ever a moment of bliss when I felt it was all going to be okay?
My mind is too worn to recall such a moment.

I feel like I am nothing, that I am no one,
If I had feelings they would not matter,
If my soul were aching no one would sooth it,
From my eyes pour a river of tears mistaken only for rain.

It seems that no one sees or understands,
They can take of me but find it impossible to give,
I have been emotionally raped and left to die,
Lost amidst these torturous thoughts.

Afraid of what will be, when I no longer am,
I will suffer, for suffering is life.

You don't have to reserve......Just pick the picture you want to write about and have fun.

Harsh

Snow has invaded me once more.
Suffocating my pores,
Weighing down my body.

My world is monochrome and bleak.
A blanching carpet of bitter water.
A blanket that doesn't warm.

Clouds form faces of discord.
Grimaces of frostbite,
Add to my lament.

But come spring I'll be reborn
Rejuvenated by the thaw,
Like a phoenix from the ice.

Who now has the might?
Sauron mabye, but not the right,
to stand against the two towers,
and all built up since when they fell.

Who now amoung us saves our night?
or those awake and praying frightened,
wrapped in flags that should have tightened,
around them sooner.

Who now calls our God from bed?
but one who fills his house with dead,
and naming him defies his grace,
destroys their land and too our place.

Delicate white blankets suffocating,
crushing breaths against empty stone.

Winds adrift upon fading dreams,
arcane visions clouding liberty.

Soothed tightly in a frozen grasp,
frolicking amounts disperse.

Desperation a well known friend,
cradled within a self embrace.

Translucent fingers graze at sanity,
bathed upon soulless abandonment.

Awaiting the silent haze of darkness,
till death touches my sleep.

As life drains from the very core

Please God send me back to the womb
Where I can find a new beginning
Erase the words that cut and bruise

Hm. This is for #1, I believe...

Wish

Translucent is the wind,
and bare is her soul.
Which winds across the velvet snow
to freeze her heart,
to ease her sorrow.
And wish
that blankets might refuse the burden.
So far away in light the heron's call is heard,
a drone,
to wish.

You wish.
=Sometimes it's not enough to cry.=
=Sometimes you have to say goodbye to those you wanted.=
You wish.
=The flames reach out to touch the fevered hand you used to own.=
=It's good enough, as in a dream.=
You wish.

Tomorrow may never come again.
So as you sleep inside your bitter winter
and let the brush stroke by your conquered limbs,
personify your movement to the cold.
And wish.
With no room to wander, why not
fly back to the daylight, beauty.
To wish.
Wretched in her feathers, who might claim her for invention?
No wishes may come true in this land.
Ice is her skin.

There's no why.
