Christmas Time

Christmas time is coming,
Better get ready for that day.
Time to start buying presents,
Time to make dinner plans.

Parents running around the mall,
Trying to figure what to buy their family.
Kids making decorations at school,
For their Christmas tree at home.

Couples start making dinner plans,
Before it is too late.
Grandmothers making cookies,
Enough for everyone in the family.

Families at home decorate their trees,
That signify a little something of their past year.
Everyone has a great time at doing it,
Not giving a care of what they do.

Christmas is unforgettable,
No matter what age you are.
It is the happiest season of the year,
That everyone will remember the rest of the year.

Surviving Christmas

When you open your presents
On Christmas day
Do you think of the people;
So far, far away?

Who don't even have a tree
Not even four falls
The one's who don't ask
For bikes or dolls

They just want security
A cure for diseases
Food and clean water
Like the other countries

When you get up early
Just to open your presents
They are getting up early
Just to survive, this once

Okay This sucks cos i don't know how to center it... but it's supposed to look like a christmas tree... =/

Shape Poetry - Shape is one of the main things that separate but one of the most inventive forms is for the poem to take on the shape of its subject. Therefore,if the subject of your poem were of a flower, then the poem would be shaped like a flower. If it were of a fish, then the poem would take on the shape of a fish.

That's okay Gem I saw it was a tree lol very creative, I enjoyed it.
