"The Magus" by John Fowles

I have just finished reading this novel. I soemone can't help but wonder what the deep meaning is to this novel, I sence that there is one. I loved how beautifully the book was written, however I did not enjoy every part of it. I was wondering what the deep meaning you got out of this book if you read it.
