What to do?? Should I lay off?

So theres this guy I've known him forever our parents are friends.. except he didn't remember me.. well about 2 months ago I got a posession and I was at his gfs house before and I had a thing with one of his friends that never amounted to anything.. so we started talking and my thing with his friend ended. Well his gf broke up with him so we started texting every now and then. Well he found out I liked him so we didn't text that much anymore. Than that weekend we went to a guys house and we were both their and his parents asked if they knew anyone and he said me. Well after that he started texting me alot more, basically every night. Well 2 night ago we texted for 2 hrs and then yesterda I tried texting him and he didn't seem like he wanted to be texting with me, I don't know... I really like the guy but I don't think he likes me and I think I've blown chances with him by texting too much but he usually texts me first...

And later on last night I texted him to see how the bears were doing because I was at a class for my posession and I knew he was watching it. Well then Later I got this response 'yup' so I asked him what and he had said that was sent earlier. So I told him I'd let him go b/c he had better things to do then be texting me. Well he asked what I meant by that and was being cool and then later he seemed kind of annoyed so I went to bed.

80% of the time he texts me first. I think I'm going to wait for him to text me. Or what do you guys think is going on?

Maybe he is at lost for words..... Who knows? he might have a hard time talking to you now that he has found out that you like him.

But it sounds like everytime you text each other both of you beat around the bush so, why don't you cut to the chase and come out and ask him? that would make it a lot easier to put all your cards on the table.

Some people just dont like talking all the time, but that doesnt mean that he's annoyed or whatever. somethings theres just nothing to talk about...just a thought. i know that i sure run out of things to say a lot. totally ask him!

I really like him but I'm done jumping to conclusions and I'm just going to take him as a friend right now and if we end up being more that's great but some times friends are just better than boyfriends :-D

You really can't read how annoyed he is, or how much he likes you, through a text message. It's just a few emotionless words on your phone screen. No offence, but I think you're being a little overdramatic about this. If you like him, talk to him. If he likes you too, then maybe something will come of it. Try calling him or something instead of texting. It's so impersonal.
