This is Stupid ...

Last night, I had a dream, well nightmare I suppose, that my boyfriend died. I don't know how he died, the dream was all about my reactions. It was horrible! I woke up scared to death (and called him immediately for simple reassurrance.) All day today, its all I can think about. It's strange, very strange. I can't get the idea out of my head. It's really very frustrating ... and a little bit scary. I have this irrational fear that if I think about something too much, it will happen ...

Does anyone else do this?

It could be just a simple dream however some dreams are there to give you warnings or if u have some strange feeling about that person that day. Like the time before my cousin died just as she walked off from talking to me i got this strage feeling i dont know what it was and 4 days later she passed away.

^ Has that been proven? I don't think so really.
I know a relative that has dreamt a friend has died and nothing has happened, yet the next year, the same friend died in a car crash.

But anyway, enough of that, at the end of the day sweets, it was just a dream and most of the time that is what they stay.
I think you dreamt something like that because your subconcious was wondering what you would do without him and therefore a dream sequence followed of what it would be like.
On the other hand, it could just be a meaningless dream. They tend to be about your last thoughts before going to sleep, something that happened or was said during the day or something completely random.
You have nothing to worry about.

Exactly, Marcus dreamt once then someone broke into our house and he watched them stab me over and over again and he woke up sobbing his heart out and for days afterwards he was sombre and clingy.
A year later, i think i'm ok.. i mean, i don't have any holes in my body with blood streaming, lmao.
Dreams are dreams, they mostly mean nothing.

If i think about something to much it wont happen

For me there's a tendency of things actually happening once I think them. But it's only if I think them while I'm awake. I don't think I've had any nightmares come true yet. Nightmares are nightmares. Usually there isn't much to it. They do give you quite a scare though. In any case I don't think that he will actually die. So don't worry too much dearie. =]

A long time ago i had a dream that my gpa got run over by a car in front of my house, and i never told anyone until now. and i was scared that it was going to happen because he was just putting the trash can on the street for the trash guys to get. and yeah. but he didn't ever die from that, instead he died from cancer, which has nothing to do with that. nightmares are usually just things that you are worried about, like you may be worried that you wont have your boyfriend or something, and so yeah. but usually dreams are just dreams. doesn't make it any less scary though...

Yea... my boyfriend also dreamed that I died in a dream.... it as right before we started dating.

Listen to Britt, she's pretty smart -3- Anyways don't worry yourself too much. I understand that you're only afraid like you are because you love him but there really is nothing to worry about. Dreams don't tell the future and neither do your thoughts.

In my eyes...when dreaming of a death that can signify something fading or dieing in a sense. for example a bad habbit is dropped. i dont know. thats my outlook :]
