I want to kno if u think cheerleading is a sport...im a cheerleader and i think it is...but ppl at school always say its not....but i mean we compete....at comition and we work rele hard at practice....like we dont always practice cheers we have work outs and everything!

Its not a sport, i do cheerleading way back in school, but normally people wants to be part of it coz of popularity....
cheerleading is like acrobats, and acrobats is not a sports. but cheerleading i consider it as a talent, not everybody is gifted enough to do all those acts...

although if we compare it with sports pretty the same.. cheerleading requires talented performers that can do contortion acts, bending and twisting to form living sculptures one can achieve it if he/she got a skills, patience, attitude, self discipline, and team work too. but still its not a sports its a competition design to entertain and uplift the spirit of the real player.

It's a sub-sport as far as I am concerned. It is just something to keep the fans interested in the actual game. YES CHEERLEADING IS A SPORT!!! im a cheerleader to ive been cheerleading for like all my life. and prac is soo hard we work our butts off at prac and comps!! i hate wen people try nd say its not. dats like saying is wrestling a sport. all u guys do is try and pin someone. so yes 100 percent cheering is a sport!!

I do cheer at games and we DONT dance....we cheer and were stiff, dancers are loose were tight!!!! and i compete too!

You have to practice ANYTHING to get good! come on now. do you think that any singer/band got good on their first try? no it takes practice. does that make music a sport? no. i still stand by my thinking cheerleading isnt a sport.

No, i've never been a cheerleader. nor do i ever want to be. ever. if u want my opinion, i'd rather stab myself then be a cheerleader.

but that doesnt make it a sport. look at what ^ said. she's busy too. that doesnt make music a sport. im just as busy too. i go to school. sing for 3 hrs a day and play guitar 1 hr a day, then go to work. then come home and do my hw sometimes. and go to bed. being busy w/ it makes it a sport...ok.

Listen if darts can be considered a sport, and almost everyone who plays it professionally is a chain smoking alcohol guzzling "large" person....then anything else that requires physical skill and is competitive could be called a sport.

And yes that includes sex, taking your socks off on one leg at night...multi taking in the kitchen...whatever....I mean darts for fecks sake!....

I would say that anything you do competitively is a sport. Otherwise it's just an activity, competitive gymnastics, cheerleading, piano (lol) it's a sport.
but something that you just do to for fun or exercise wouldn't be a sport.
that's how i think of it anyways.

Well, I'm not a cheerleader, but I know it is. I've gone to my cousin's (who is a cheerleader) practices, and they do as much as any other sport. Therefore, I know for sure it a sport.
