THE MAZE

The tears and lies,
forming my walls,
your jeering laughter,
echoing through my head,
the pain and the sadness,
making the barricade.

i spin in circles,
searching for escape,
my eyes are wet and dazed,
i quickly lose my sense of direction,
i scream your name,
knowing you're there.

my heart seems to crumble,
as the walls begin to rise,
i twist around the corners,
curve through the dreaded curse,
my breathing deepens,
my hands and feet begin to bleed.

I feel the exaustion,
as i finally collapse,
you think you've won,
im under your control,
i smile at the thought,
knowing you can never own me,
im not yours,
im mine.

i slowly begin to crawl,
knowing exactly where to go,
i can guide myself,
away from your pit of dispair,
i edge around the final corner,
i begin to breathe again.

your face looks down at me,
i look straight back up,
i slowly stand up,
on my aching legs,
i stand tall,
i feel brave.

i finally have the chance to say,
to tell you,
that i dont need you,
im sick of the tears,
and bouts of fear,
im not giving in,
i escaped from my maze,
and finally,
you.

It happened just last year
I passed a note and you
passed back. Laughing
and writing the whole time.
I sat in a seat and you sat
next to me. We became
Hoho and Dodo. Those
were the days. Then She
joined in. Our Twosome
became a threesome.
Southern as we all were.
we became the Dixie three.
Dixie girl. dixielicious. Dixie chick
Thats how we were known.

Spirit days rolled around.
We dressed the best and
rebelled on one day. We had
funny being stupid and being ourselves.

But then it started to end.
someone started an awful
rumor, which splitted up
our little clan. It was two
of them against me
how did we end up like this.
Now its hurts to say those
were my friends

Sometimes I wonder
how long it would be
before my God will
take me home. All
the signs are all there.
But seems that no one
cares. Greed. lustFulness.
Idiolence is who we are.
These times
are becoming rough
Suffering. Pain. and
Death have been most
popular these days. Kids
molested by strangers, even
people who live in their home.
Shootings in school never stop.
Young Morals blown in the air.
Heaven Knows the outcome of this.
Soon that day will come. In a
blink of eye each one will be gone.
I hope you said that prayer tonight.
Heaven knows you'll be left behind

Every time I see you,
it makes it harder to live.
Harder to go through days.
To live them.

It is how much I love you.
This you have to see.
It's not because you've hurt me
or done anything wrong.

It is because I'm leaving.
and good-byes are so, so hard.
Tears come to my eyes when I think of you.
And a pain shoots through my chest.

I hope our paths will cross
sometime yet to come,
I hope to meet you again some day.
Somehow to be together again

I will never forget you,
this much I know.
you made my life so much better
because of you I saw the colors.

And a tear rolls down my cheek,
as I write this to you.

~ This poem is about a dream in which you fall and face your mistakes.

Right there, you go.
You see yourself dropping.
So fast, so slow.
It's a never ending nightmare.

The fall brings you to all your mistakes,
You never wanted to see,
It forces you to change them,
There is no time to flee.

You are forbidden to walk away this time,
Forbidden to close your eyes.
The fall forces you to look at your mistakes,
There is no time for disguise.

And as you fall deeper,
You realise more and more,
What a nightmare you're having,
There is no time to soar.

And at last, you hit the ground.
The fall has made you seen,
The bad things you do in life,
Will also come back in a dream.

The fall now, has put you eye to eye,
With the things you wished you had never done.
Are you dealing with regret and loneliness?
Wake up and it'll all be gone.

Sweet serenity calms all chaos,
as you walk out on me.
Burning holes within my flesh,
tearing open all that's left.
