How a guy treats you?

I have always been told to look at the way that your bf treats his mom and that is gonna be how he treats you when you get married. is this true? i have always wondered. i would love opinions from both guys and girls! thanks

I don't really think that's true. My fiance treats me very different than his mom. I know he really loves his mom, but they fight a lot. There are points where they start cussing at each other and everything, and he doesn't do anything like that to me. If we argue about something small, we don't cuss at each other. So it's not completely true.

I don't think that's true. My boyfriend doesn't really get along with his family at all (for no particular reason), but he treats me a lot nicer than he does them.

Well my man loved his mom..she passed away a few years a go..and it still taers him up inside..but he said he very nice to his more and well me and dont always get a long..but i think thats why we cant stay a way form each other..yea know what i mean

I don't think so... I think that a guy loves and respects his mom but will never treat his gf like that at all.

I think the whole idea came about because if a guy treats his mother well then I suppose he has a genuine respect for all women. Also, sometimes the mom is the one who will teach a guy how to treat a lady. But as with most other things in this world there are exceptions. It really just depends on the guy. I don't think it's necessarily true.

My ex loves his mom. But he talks bad about her whenever he's mad or annoyed with her. So I hope he dont ever do that with me if we go out again

Well really my moms a bitch she left me when I was 2 and almost ruined my dads career as a layer.
But i really do love my gf and if I ever saw my mom again i would have th urge to shoot her... so no, this is definetly a myth.

Well, my ex - kinda occurs on him. he doesnt know how to treat a female since he dont gotta mother material to help him & stuff. but yeah ; all guys are different. it just depends.

Not true. My ex's mom tore the family apart and took his sisters away from him and then tried to get his dad arrested out of spite, yet he treated me like something precious. He's a real gentleman when it comes to his girlfriends.

My sister in law's husband also has a nutcase for a mother who is intent on splitting them up and treating Mindy like crap. She even turned around to him and told him that he was the least favourite out of him and his brother.
He hates his mother yet looks after Mindy and his one year old daughter with his life

Yet on the other hand, marcus loves his mom to bits and bends over backwards for her and he does the same for me and always has done.

My boyfriend loves his mom, and has so much respect for her and is really close to her... he is closer to his mom than to his dad...

He treats me wonderfully!! He is honest with me and respects me like no other. He is so sweet and always compliments me on everything... he is the sweetest guy ive ever been with...

I dont agree a guy will treat his mother differently than he will treat his gurl its a different type of relaionship its....a different environment and a different kind of love so No he wont treat a women or his gurl the same as he does his mother

Every one is different so i honestly that statement is a load of bull, it's like saying, you are a girl so you WILL be domesticated or you are a tomboy so you WILL be gay
