College/uni ACCOUNTANCY

Ok im starting grade 10 soon and during the year we have to pick subjects for year 11 and i was just wondering if anyone knew what subjects would be good for accountancy. and roughly how much an accountant earns.

Just an FYI, im in the FBLA at my school, and i've seen the work some of the university kids have gone through to get through accounting in college.

You are in for a LOT of work. Accounting is a long, dreadful career, pays off in the future, but you will despise the years you prepare for it.

If you haven't already, check out a few career sites. Since your in high school your counselor at school or maybe a math teacher for a few sites according to accounting.

My eldest sister in law didn't go to uni and she quit college in the first year. Now she's a high flying accountant head hunted by loads of companies and she earns over 35,000 a year (pounds)
She's amazing and she manages to juggle all her work with her new baby daughter and husband. She's my idol.
Now if she can do it with no A levels or uni degree, i think you can.
