Don't know what else I can do!!!

It's going to sound stupid but i really dont know what else ican do. I've known my step-dad since i was 1. hes my dad in every way that matters to me. but lately it doesn't seem to matter. He doesn't seem to care about anything i do...its like he doesnt care. i do things to try and tell him that i want to spend time with him, but he ignores me. so i do things i know he doesn't like, or i dont do the things he tells me to do. i dont want to do these things but it seems like the only way to get his attention, and thats all i want...

I think its nice you want a relationship with your dad, and acting out or making trouble seems like the only solution to gain attention.

But I think you need to take the direct approach and actually say that you want to spend time with him...And state why you feel he is distancing himself from you.

Hopefully speaking to one another directly will settle some issues and maybe change they way your relationship is at...

I've had severel conversations with him about thins subject...the last one i had with him he sent me to georgia for 2 months to spend time with my father...

Ha, easy. Think of him as your dad and nothing more visualize how perfect your relationship with him is. And all the pieces will fall into place. You just have to accept it as your reality. :)

Ah you sound exactly like me when I was your age, the only time I got attention from my dad was when I was being told to do something or needed to get a kick in the ass, so I began acting out. I realize now my dad is just not the talking, attention feeding type. I wasted a lot of time getting in trouble, trying to change something that to this day still has not changed.
