I have a theory... I am a big meat eater. I love my meat. Our bodies were designed to eat meat. We are at the top of the food chain for a reason. We get a lot of vital nutrition from red meat (iron/protein) which cant be absorbed into the body in the same way/potency as it can from any other vegetable etc. |

Actually, we designed our bodies to eat meat in the plains of Africa because food was scares. So, on that principal we were designed to be vegeterians just steered off the path :) |

Also Mo, if you know anything about biology, specifically human biology you would know that our teeth, though superficially sharp at the front, are more akin to bovine animals in that most of our teeth are specially designed for chewing and mashing, not for ripping which suggests we are meant to eat grasses and other veggie food stuffs. |

Whatever our bodies were designed for, it is clear that our brains were designed for storing knowledge about these issues, and thereby making the most reasoned choices, ungoverned by any of the alleged natural needs. I mean, our bodies were also not naturally built to fly, be cloned, be celibate, live longer, commit suicide, listen to Backstreet Boys etc, but our brains still make a seemingly natural choice for us, right? |

^ eating mechanically recovered tortured meat stuffed high with preservatives and binders and fat and nitrate and sodium served in a sheep's intestine or artificial collagen casing for nothing greater than greed and convenience is not okay, how would you like it if I treated you like a literal worthless piece of meat. tsk tsk. |

"Properly planned vegetarian diets have been found to competely satisfy nutritional needs in every stage of life, significantly reduce risks of major diseases, including cancer, promote a healthier body mass index, reduce excess body fat, and increase longevity. In partiuclar, non-lean red meat eaten over a lifetime has been found to increase the risks of several forms of cancer by 20 to 60 percent, while possibly causing adverse mutations in DNA." |

It's a totaly normal thing... I'm not a vegetarian but I am a muslim and we're forbidden from eating "haram" food, and it's a loooong list of things, the most thing all of you will relate to is pork... it's haram! So if you asked me How can you live without pork? I'd say How can you eat pork? cuz to us it's disgusting.. pigs eat everything! It's the same with vegetarians... you can't live without meat and they can't eat it ... they're too sensitive to eat meat and if they ate meat knowing that it was meat they'd probably puke. |

All of the protein and other nutrients you get from meat you can get from anything else. Except vitamin B I think...its some vitamin, but you can take a supplement for it anyways. |
