Follow up of the last one.

Now some of you may not like what I'm about to say and to that my response is, oh well, you can't please everyone.........The reason I use the above excerpt as an example is because there are a few of you who continue to challenge and berate the mods constantly, and as some of you like to call it under the guise of checks and balances. Well I'm here to tell you, there are no checks and balances anymore, not until the administration takes more control of their responsibilities as site owners. In essence at the present time, we (the mods) are the administration...and if I remember correctly there is a statement written by Janis himself stating that the administration can add and make any changes as they see fit. So there you have it, we will run this site as we see fit collectively, we will try as we have been to be fair, involved and continue to moderate this site, but fair warning: we will no longer accept any outright disrespect to any member, or any mod. There will be no more love taps, you will find yourself on the outside looking in and wondering what happened. Some of you may say, pfft so what, that's fine to, but no more. These forums are for discussions, enjoyment etc....not a place to belittle someone or to edify yourself by putting others down. For those of you who have attacked and questioned the positions of certain mods, consider that your last time in doing so on this site, because the next time you'll be gone.....Have a great weekend and please enjoy the site as it was intended to be enjoyed....Peace

***In closing Let me thank those members who have have been a true asset to this site and have stayed for the most part within the rules...Kudos to you.....

I think this has gone all for long enough.

For those that are standing up and taking responsibility for their actions I want to say thank you.

It is awesome when everyone can be mature about what is now taking place and I appreciate those that are handling all this with grace and class.

Can I ask that the words of mine at the top of all 3 of these "notice to all Members" threads be either removed as a source or suggested cause of the 3 day ban action, or you Mods at least have the good grace to not cut and paste an incomplete section of my post, which makes it and me look far more aggressive than I was.

It's disrespectful to quote someone out of context. Here is the whole message, hardly a hate filled rant so harmful it justifies the new Mod actions.

"Almost as if by magic, I predict to Sherry what happens when someone challenges the Mods...and shazaam!....in pops a Mod who tries to shout me down. I wonder who will be next?

I don't think I will keep my ideas to myself thanks Amanda, they are not rude so I feel justified in airing them as an appropriate response to Sherry's rather over the top messages to us.

Maybe if you'd asked Sherry to calm down too, but I understand the unity ethos of the Mods, even in the face of faults on their part, it's always the members fault and they take the blame and must shut up or leave or be punished.

Even you personally have been warned several times.

The problem lies witht he fact that we continue to warn the same individuals over and over again and yet they continue to push past every warning and every chance that we have given them.

Your input did not go unnoticed, trust me. In fact it was due to your input that we allowed so much chaos to continue on before finally saying no more. It was at the request of the members that we give more warnings and less penalties. However, that did not work either.

This whole thing started because a member was given a WARNING about turning the threads into a personal chat and another member had to step in to put us back in line. Yet, we were doing what was requested and only gave not a second, third, or fourth warning, but at least a fifth one.

We have to draw the line somewhere and this is where the line is drawn. We do not want to crack the whip as to say, but sadly at this point there is no other choice.

So we ask that the members respect each other and the mods. is that so hard to do? I do not think so and either respect is shown or those that refuse to adhear can move on.

If the members respect Bob as you say then it needs to be shown. However, instead Bob and many others, including myself, are belittled and challenged at every breath, syllable, word, and sentence we type.

It is really sad to be honest. We listen to the members, we try things their way and give warnings; yet a major member on this site has to step in where they are not involved and set the wheels in motion once again for even more drama.

Before anyone jumps at me, I'm not trying to dictate or drag up the past or even argue. It's just personally insulting to me to have my words, which taken in context with the rest of my post were not to my mind so terrible they warrant being slapped at the top of a new moderator idea on punishing people as some kind of root cause.

I want no part in discussing the 3 day ban, so please take me out of it, it changes nothing about the message you are putting across but it insults me.

Refuge? horrific story? LOL .... I guess it is all in the eye of the beholder.

But... we all come from different backgrounds and all have different things to bring to this site.

It is through teamwork and COMMUNICATION with each other that we are able to stand together even when we agree to disagree.

Each mod. has something special to offer and each mod. has a different point of view on things. Together we keep each other in check.

Each member also plays a vital role here. The members may just see a bunch of drama and fighting on both sides, but in all honesty with so many people here I think we all do pretty good.

No one is perfect, and we do not calim to be. But we do stengthen each other (members and mods both together) and help each other through any turmoil that one might experience.

With that I will bid you all a goodnight.

I see this turned to round three with Nicko saying it will be his last post in the second one yet I see he still has more things to complain about... Lol..

I just don't understand the whole criteria here... Are you from the looks of it many members of the club... trying to achieve here... The rules changed temporarily... Grow up and live in the real world... I have and looking at this from a fresh perspective... I just have to laugh at the wasted time and intellect... Although using the word intellect.. seems as a good fit as some of you tried and failed to use humor...

The mods are using this as a temporary measure... and seeing as this isn't one of my views changing like the wind... funny!

I ask that some of you get off your big egos and try to respect the fact that this is "temporary"

I have more respect for sher... seeing that even with the mad power you say she has... she made an email just for the complaint many of you seem to have...

You all are grown men and women... accept that life has many restrictive barriers and move on...

And a side note to everyone... I also try to respond to my PM's and if you have a problem and come to me I try to work it out with you.

I have conversed with many members through the PM system, but I also set the email account up for those that would prefer the email instead of PM.

Also, feel free to add it to yahoo instant messanger. Then if you catch me online and have a question I can answer it right then so you do not have to wait on me.

I try to keep an open policy when it comes to contacting me and discussing things with me.

And honestly, I do try to be fair.

As I said before I do not wish to debate Moderator actions regarding their new methods. I will post once more with my point and if it's still a no then so be it.

Bob, can you really not see how posting a section of my post in an evidence A type way, and then communicating the unfortunate measures of the 3 day ban right after sends out the crystal clear message that I am implicated in the need for such a step?

There can be no other interpretation. I understand why you all did this, you need examples, you need to be able to show you had a good reason, and sure, make an example of me, I get that. But it's not fair, your 3 day ban idea will still stand without including my cut up thread post as a kickstart.

Please take it down or at the very least include the whole message.

^ I too wanted to say sorry for calling Amanda a man - it was a play on words only and no offense meant by it. I do respect you all as individuals, however I think this whole thing has gone far enough - everyone's just re-hashing what they've said already and it appears we're at a stalemate. I suggest we close down this thread and just go on with life on P&Q - either getting along, or steering clear of the people we dont agree with, or facing the 3 day "box".

Hopefully in time, the 3 day ban will cease to exist and we can go back to being rude and disrespectful (I KID, I KID!!) :)

I have a question, regarding to what extent this "respect" ought to be taken. For example, if I were to call some random member of the site a "whiny little wench," perhaps, or maybe "an arrogant fool," or even "a pusillanimous curmudgeon," but I did so in the privacy of my own club, would that be morally allowable? If you guys found out about it, would it still be ok?

Just wondering.

By my understanding what is said in the club is to stay in the club.

We do not get involved in club issues and that is strictly up to the manager as to whether or not it will be permitted.

Honestly, I am one that will seek refuge and go into my club to yell, shout, and blow up lol.....

I think seeing as you've written so many post in these three post threads telling everyone of us how respect is good and great you wouldn't mind answering these two questions... unless all those posts you've written turned out to not be true... Lol.. well sibyellene to me respect isn't whining or complaining about an action being placed by the mods... plus respect is earned according to my book, i don't insult another persons race, creed or lifestyle, i have too much self respect and respect to degrade another persons individuality ... but I see you have another interpretation so please enlighten me...lol

One thing I would NOT include under a definition of respect would be "being endlessly snide and condescending to everyone who apparently falls short of your enlightened state of being." Nor would I include "hypocritically turning against those in your confidence when it best suits your needs or whims." But then again, maybe I'm the one who needs to be enlightened.

I may not always agree with the mods, but I wouldn't deign to wish your slimy bootlicking on them.

Of course our club has fallacies. Every organization -will-, especially so when it's filled with people as "fiery" and opinionated and conceited as we are. But seriously... do you really not remember half of the things you said in the club? I love how you're all batting eyelashes and oily grins to the mods now, when mere months ago you were certainly a bit more... opinionated.

Maybe it's true that you hold no loyalty. I wouldn't be surprised. But I can't see how it's in any way respectful, graceful, magnanimous, or even in YOUR best interest to obviously exploit the knowledge you've gained.

You should've known we are not similar to those clubs. I was in one of them too, and I did not like it. Because writing can't be forced. If you want such a club, go ahead and join one. But just because you don't like something doesn't make it bad. Not at all =)

And since when do YOU think boasting about one's self is bad? Most of us here are very guilty about this. Besides, it requires a certain sense of humour, which some of the members of the site obviously lack.
