Dont know if its true need advise

My mum recons its true when you are in your 20's you go through this big change and most people and up leaving there gf or bf. My mum recons it might happen to me but i really dont think it will i cant reason with her about it because she thinks i dont know the future and all and that im going to get hurt has this ever happened to anyone?
