I would always trust MY parents. But of course, not all parents are as awesome as mine. So, make your own judgement - COULD they be right? Or are they completely off the hook? |

There are lots of situations like this... Try to convince your parents, ask them why they don't like the guy, if your relationship grows and becomes more serious then you do want them to be in your wedding so try... If they're not convinced then try getting him around them more let him bond with your parents... If they're still not ok with it you gotta forget about their blessings and continue your relationship with him. |

The way I see it is that if you love someone, so much that you can't think of being without that person, nothing should stop you from being with them. Even if you respect your parents, that shouldn't stop you. Love overcomes every obstacle. No matter what that is. I hope this helped. |

I sure as hell would not dump her. Then again I've never gave two {poopies} for what my mum or my dad ever thought. |

Wow, that is just sad that they don't like him because he's hispanic. I don't see why that's wrong, but I guess that makes your parents racist. I'm sorry, I just had to say, for the fact that I'm defending my culture. Well anyway, good luck girl. Just don't let you parents stop you from seeing your man. If you really are 18, you can make decisions on your own. My dad doesn't like my boyfriend, but that didn't stop me from gettin engaged to him, or coming to live with him. Or even havin my son with him. Of course my dad's not happy about it, but that's not the important thing. What matters is that we're happy. |
